How to Play Asteroids

Asteroids is a classic arcade space shooter. Pilot your triangular spaceship through an asteroid field. Shoot asteroids to break them into smaller pieces. Watch out for UFOs that appear randomly and shoot back at you.

Controls

• W / ↑ — Thrust forward (with inertia physics)
• A / ← — Rotate left
• D / → — Rotate right
• Space — Fire bullets

Survival Tips

• Use short thrusts — momentum carries you, so plan ahead.
• Stay near the center so you have escape routes in all directions.
• Shoot large asteroids first — they break into more pieces.
• Destroy UFOs quickly — they're worth 200 points but dangerous.
• Use screen wrap to your advantage — exit one side, appear on the other.
